There comes a time in every foodie’s life when they find themselves typing the words #CookieButter into Instagram’s discovery page (You don’t have to tell me your reasons, and I won’t confess mine, but suffice to say it has happened. Maybe more than once…)
I am a particularly sad case as I have not only searched IG but also good ol’fashioned Google, but this isn’t about me or my adventures down the Cookie Butter rabbit hole that is the internet, this is about the fact that Cookie Butter, in all of it’s sweet, spreadable, cookie-on-whatever-the-heck-you-want-cookies-on cookieness is VEGAN.
In addition to learning that Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter is vegan, this article I found from the good folks at Peta taught me that there are a ton of vegan options at TJ’s–some of which may surprise you– cinnamon rolls, Snickerdoodle cookies, and Enchiladas to name a few.
While it’s rare that I eat packaged, processed foods, it is nice to know that there are a lot of great–relatively healthy–vegan options available at Trader Joe’s for special occasions or entertaining.
