Finding the right concealer can be tricky. The colors, consistencies, and coverages are as varied as the countless options on the market, making coming across the one that is right for you a (relative) nightmare.
I’ve had my fair share of pasty concealers that crease and cake making me look roughly 100,848,402 years old. I’ve also had those that cover exactly nothing.
Because of this, I have been on the hunt for a GREAT concealer and, well, I think I’ve found it–and for under 5 dollars no less!
This Rimmel Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer is incredible. It’s thick enough to cover everything from blemishes to dark circles but blends seamlessly into my skin. And I find that especially when layered over foundation or BB cream, it acts as a little magic pen that erases any and all imperfections, giving me that effortless #iwokeuplikethis vibe.
What I love about it:
- Coverage and natural finish
- Easy to find (available in most drugstores and online)
This is marketed as a brightening concealer and it really does highlight under the eyes nicely, making me look more awake and fresh. I also use it to highlight the tops of my cheekbones, down the center of my nose, and on the Cupid’s bow, whenever I’m in the mood for some serious nighttime contouring.
What I don’t love about it:
- The brush applicator deposits a lot of product, so be careful using it the first time.
- I wish it came in a wider range of colors (but I wish that of most drugstore makeup)
I also can’t say that it adapts to my skin tone as the name suggests, but I like the color I chose regardless (240 Fair/Light Neutral.)
Overall, it’s a great product and definitely my new favorite drugstore find. If you’re looking for a new concealer, check this one out and be sure to let me know what you think of it if you do!
